The Mayor of London wants to expand his Ultra Low Emission Zone to the whole of London. This means a £12.50 daily charge for any vehicle driven in London that doesn’t meet the ULEZ standard.

The ULEZ expansion would hit the poorest during a cost of living crisis, while doing next to nothing to deal with air pollution.

On Thursday, the London Assembly had an opportunity to stop Sadiq Khan's disastrous ULEZ expansion. It could, with a two-thirds majority, vote to reject the Mayor's revision to his Transport Strategy.

But Labour, Lib Dem and Green Assembly Members let it go through.
